FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Garden Club celebrated its 86th birthday at its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 28 with birthday cake and an ice cream social. A "Mad Hat Contest" was also held and gift certificates were awarded to Dorothee Kohlmeir and Patty Vasquez for "Most Creative" and "Most Beautiful" hats.
The Fallbrook Garden Club, organized in 1931, was one of 23 charter members of California Garden Club Inc. (CGCI) and is one of the six charter clubs still active. The Fallbrook Garden Club now has a total of 201 members.
