FALLBROOK – Michael Gross hit a grand slam and drove in all seven runs for Fallbrook High School during a boys varsity baseball game against San Pasqual on April 21.
Gross connected for his grand slam in the top of the third inning. The two-out blast – Gross' first career home run – gave Fallbrook a 4-0 lead.
San Pasqual scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-4 lead. The Warriors tied the game in the fifth on a run-scoring double by Gross, and then took a 7-5 lead in the sixth on Gross' two-run single.
San Pasqual answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and then added a run in the bottom of the seventh for an 8-7 victory.
