SDG&E offers rebates to teachers and first responders for electric vehicles

SAN DIEGO – Teachers and first responders such as police officers and firefighters are eligible for a $1,000 rebate on the purchase or lease of an electric vehicle under a three-year, $500,000 San Diego Gas & Electric program that was announced Wednesday, Sept. 6.

In the first year, 300 of those who live in the SDG&E service territory of San Diego and southern Orange counties will be eligible on a first-come, first-served basis.
