September is National Voter Registration Month

SACRAMENTO – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla recognized September 2017 as National Voter Registration Month, Sept. 1, and urged all eligible citizens to register to vote or update their registration at www.registertovote.ca.gov.

“Citizen participation in elections is the foundation of our democracy,” Padilla said. “As California’s chief elections officer, I want to ensure that every eligible citizen’s voice is heard in shaping the future of our state and nation by casting a ballot.
