Marilynn Ruth Davies, age 73, passed away quietly in her home here in Fallbrook on November 25. She fought a valiant fight against breast cancer for over 10 years. Marilynn worked in a variety of occupations and most recently was a licensed marriage and family therapist and mental health professional with offices in Fallbrook, Temecula and Escondido.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Milton Davies, and two daughters, Lauren Grimsley (grandson Shane) and Erin Dolias (granddaughter Hannah Kissel) both of Murietta as well as seven step-children: Leslie Reinhold, Heather Layton, Amy Jordan, John (Camilla), Matt (Lai), Chris (Holly), Megan (Troy). She has 24 grandchildren and 1 ½ great-grandchildren. She is also related to the Wilson-Smith family of Akron, Ohio.
She was an amazing woman. Her quiet and steady love was felt by many, but mostly by her family. Her skills as a photographer brightened the hearts of so many as she chronicled their lives. As a professional counselor, she went around the world in support of our Armed Forces and their families as well as those affected by the World Trade Center 9-11-2001 tragedy.
The family is having a memorial service in January.
