Supervisors reduce Gird Road speed limit to 45 mph

The speed limit on Gird Road from Highway 76 to 1,000 feet south of Oak Cliff Drive will be reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph.

A 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors vote March 28 approved the first reading and introduction of an ordinance to enact a 45 mph speed limit for the entire 3.61-mile portion of Gird Road between Reche Road and State Route 76 while also approving certification of the speed limit for radar enforcement. If a second reading and adoption is approved April 18 enforcement could begin May 18.
