Ellen (Ellie) Pyeatt Hammer

Born Sept. 25, 1947, loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Ellen (Ellie) Pyeatt Hammer passed away May 23, 2018, after a recent illness. Preceded in death by parents Mac and Louise Pyeatt and brother Rick, she is survived by her husband Joe; sister and brother-in-law Toni and Bob Crisell; many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Ellie grew up in Riverside and attended college at California Western University in San Diego. She taught high school in San Jose, California, before retiring to Fallbrook, where Ellie married Joe Hammer in 2015. Her years with Joe were filled with happiness.

Ellie was a member of Fallbrook Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and PEO. She enjoyed volunteering, especially at the local library. Her friends and family will remember Ellie’s sense of humor, love of music, fun-loving personality and dedication to friends and family. She will be missed by all.

A celebration of Ellie’s life will be held 2 p.m., June 30, at SonRise Christian Fellowship, 463 S. Stage Coach Lane, in Fallbrook. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
