FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Women's Connection will welcome Canine Companions for Independence, Friday, July 20. A CCI representative from the Oceanside office will share how they prepare their canines to assist and support those with disabilities and other special needs.
Fallbrook resident Allen Sargent will provide entertainment with some selective music to complement the canine presentation.
Guest speaker Sabine Becker, a thalidomide and stroke survivor, will share how to turn adversity into amazing opportunities. She will be accompanied by her service dog Balter, who has been custom trained by CCI for her unique needs.
The gathering will include brunch at the Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens in the Beverly Mansion, 10 a.m. until noon. Pianist Jean Dixon will also provide music.
The cost per ticket is $22, cash or check, which includes brunch prepared by The Grand Tradition, 220 Grand Tradition Way, located at the corner of Mission Road and Grand Tradition Way near the Econo Lodge.
