Shae Gawlak is new Fallbrook Food Pantry executive director

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Food Pantry welcomed Shae Gawlak as its new executive director. Gawlak has eight years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. She founded a grassroots nonprofit, Fit2BeKids, a successful youth program for the underserved community. She is accomplished in working collaboratively with the community to ensure community needs are met.

Gawlak has a bachelor's degree in health and wellness nutrition from Kaplan University and has earned certification as a personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years, working with children, teens, adults and seniors. She has also been an adjunct professor at Concordia University, teaching exercise sports science since 2014.

Gawlak resides in Temecula with her husband William. They have three sons, Michael, who is a Navy medic; Lucas, who is a college student and Jaxon, a Navy mineman.

Gawlak replaces Jennifer Vetch who is relocating with her husband to Montana to be nearer their parents in order to better support them.

Gawlak said she is looking forward to meeting community members and learning how to serve the less fortunate as a community.
