I note that the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce donated a check to the Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center. According to the latter's website, the FPRC is a religious organization.
Since when is our chamber of commerce donating money to religious organizations? I would think that any money raised from chamber events would go to nonprofits that benefit all members of our community, no matter what affiliation or non-affiliation. Religious groups host their own events and fundraisers which benefit their adherents.
It doesn't matter whether you agree or disagree with the FPRC's policy of not disclosing abortion information to its clients. It's a bad precedent for our chamber to give money to any religious group.
