FALLBROOK – Jeremiah's Ranch, a nonprofit which serves people with developmental disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome, has many events planned in September.
Fallbrook Special Olympics will begin its first season of golf, Monday, Sept. 10, at Pala Mesa Resort from 2-4 p.m. For registration, contact Linda White at (760) 805-5214. Also, Jeremiah's Ranch has been selected as a recipient for funding from the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce putting contest at the Chamber's charity golf benefit at Pala Mesa Friday, Sept. 28.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, Karen Douglas will conduct a craft workshop at the College of Adaptive Education Headquarters, 911 East Elder, behind Emmanuel Baptist Church. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon and is open to adults with developmental disabilities who are 18 and over. The creations will be left behind for later resale at holiday craft bazaars. The participants will keep 50 percent of the proceeds from sales of these craft items. This is a free event. For more information visit http://www.jeremiahsranch.org.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, Jeremiah's Ranch in collaboration with Care-Rite Vocational Services and Fallbrook Special Olympics will have a picnic in the park at Live Oak Park, Area 1, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Rock 'n Horse minis will be there with there miniature therapeutic horses. This event is made possible by funding from Fallbrook Regional Health District. For more information email [email protected].
