SAN DIEGO - The San Diego team in the Alliance of American Football announced today it had signed former Stanford fullback Daniel Marx.
The 6-foot-2-inch 245-pound Marx was not chosen in the 2018 NFL draft, cut by the Atlanta Falcons July 30 and the Seattle Seahawks Sept. 1 as part of the roster reduction to reach the regular-season 53-player limit.
Stanford is among the 15 universities the San Diego team has the first right to sign players from.
The eight-team league is set to begin play Feb. 9.
