Free tire recycling day offered Sept. 15

FALLBROOK – San Diego County is holding a free tire recycling day Saturday, Sept. 15, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Fallbrook High School in the Winter Haven parking lot, 1050 Winter Haven Road.

Recycling requirements include passenger vehicle tires only; no tires from businesses; tires must be reasonably clean of dirt and only nine tires per vehicle. A limited number of tires with rims will be accepted; to request preapproval for tires with rims or loads of more than nine tires, call (877) 713-2784.

The event is made possible by a grant from CalRecycle, the county of San Diego Department of Public Works and the Fallbrook Union High School District.
