Joe Nicolas Osterkamp was born in Santa Ana, Calif. Joe was raised on a dairy there. He joined the Navy at age 17 during World War II.
He owned Dolstra Concrete Pumping and Thee Last Straw Feed Store. He loved serving his friends, family and the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; daughter Jan, sons Victor and Kelly. He was preceded in death by his son Sam.
All are welcome at Joe's memorial on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14826 Fruitvale, Valley Center, Calif.
A paddle-out was held in Joe's honor at San Onofre State Beach on Aug. 29 with his burial the next day at Oak Hill Cemetery, Escondido, Calif. Email [email protected].
