The residential fire in Rainbow was an external fire that started in a shed on the side of the house.
The residential fire reported at 1468 Rainbow Crest has been contained. According to NCFPD John Choi it was an exterior fire that didn't go into the interior of the house. NCFPD went into the attic to make sure it hadn't spread inside. The family was able to reoccupy the two-story home and while the cause is under investigation, the shed where the fire started was a yard storage shed.
