A driver in a Toyota Tacoma hit a power pole this morning at 725 Burma Rd. knocking the pole over and causing a power outage in the area. It was a non-injury accident, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi.
The downed pole caused power outages in the area but was isolated off the roadway. "Firefighters assessed for injuries of the driver, assessed for fire, and the priority was to build a safe perimeter around the power lines, which were draped over fences. Homes in the immediate area were warned to shelter in place to ensure no one was electrocuted."
SDGE arrived and is working on restoring power to the 15 customers in the neighborhood that, according to SDGE, are without power. The estimated time of restoration is today at 12:30 pm.
