Taylor takes first and second in SPJ journalism contest
SAN DIEGO – Nathalie Taylor, a Reeder Media associate since 2003, took first and second place in the Arts/Entertainment division from the San Diego Society of Professional Journalists. The contest was for work completed in 2020. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the features and food writer was only able to write seven stories in 2020. Taylor has won 89 professional journalism awards since 2004 and has taken many of the photos that accompanied her stories.
Taylor's first place award was for "Timber Love & Clay – Creating Art from Imagination and Experience" published in the 2020 Sourcebook Magazine (Reeder Media). Her second place award was for "An Evening with Robert Conrad," also published in the Sourcebook.
Taylor, who holds a BA degree in English from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, was seated on the Alumni Advisory Board for the university's College of Liberal Arts/English Department from 2011 to 2018. Since 2015, she has been a San Diego Press Club Honorary Committee member.
