How can so many be duped?

Last week I was troubled seeing the protestors lining the roadway at the corner of Mission Road and Highway 76. Although the crowd was not that large considering the local populations, it was still disturbing to see given the subject of the protest.

I wonder who organizes these rallies? And how can so many be duped into the misinformation being peddled? We are blessed to be a country free from polio, smallpox, measles, mumps and many other diseases because of vaccines.We are blessed that our water supply is monitored by our health department to be free of typhoid and toxins because scientists are looking out for the community. Science and government regulation are a blessing, not a conspiracy.

What will be protested next? Should there be no more traffic signals or speed limits? Or no seat belt laws to interfere with our personal freedom? Should my neighbor be allowed to run raw sewage into a creek passing through his property?

This nonsense has got to stop. Truth is truth. And a lie is a lie no matter how many times it is repeated. Our Village should be friendly to truth and science and not to conspiracy theories.
