PAL Support Group offered for families of addicted loved ones

FALLBROOK – A new group offering hope through support and education for parents and spouses who have addicted loved ones is meeting Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m. at Riverview Church in Bonsall.

The PAL Support Group was started in 2006 by Mike Speakman, a substance abuse counselor who realized that overcoming addiction to drugs and alcohol isn’t just about treating the individual, it takes the support of the family as well. It requires a long-term change for the entire family.

It’s important that they know they are not alone. Parents and spouses get support and find hope in the midst of the heartbreak addiction brings to a family.
