Asphalt & Concrete Enterprises awarded FPUD leak repair repaving contract

Asphalt & Concrete Enterprises, Inc., has been awarded the Fallbrook Public Utility District contract to provide permanent paving of roadway areas FPUD temporarily patched after repairing leaks.

FPUD’s board voted 4-0 May 23, with Dave Baxter absent due to business travel, to award a $52,800 contract to the Santee contractor. The cold mix asphalt used for temporary patching will be replaced with permanent hot mix.

Numerous valve replacements and leak repairs have been necessary since July 2021. FPUD staff temporarily patched 22 sites with cold mix asphalt. FPUD...
