FALLBROOK – La Paloma Elementary students in the Good News Club celebrated Christmas by watching “The Story of Jesus for Children,” Dec. 13, at the Fallbrook Community Center where they meet from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The movie was followed by a Treasure Hunt with candy and prizes
Good News Club is an after school program for children in grades 1-6. The program is under the umbrella of Child Evangelism Fellowship, a worldwide organization that is more than 82 years old. They have a castle at the San Diego County Fair every year.
The children learn scripture verses by song and by “The Memory Verse Challenge.” They listen, pray and play fun games and receive a trophy for their memory work. All children are welcome to join no matter what faith they are.
Good News Clubs will be opening soon at Live Oak Elementary and Bonsall Elementary. More schools are asking for the program, so any adults interested in helping children grow are asked to visit http://www.cefnorthsandiego.com for more information.
