Loud explosion heard in downtown Fallbrook

A very loud explosion was heard in the middle of downtown Fallbrook that shook windows and set off car alarms. It occurred about 9:25 pm. The Sheriff's department is investigating it being possibly fireworks. For anyone who heard it, it was extremely loud. From the Village News office near Main and Alvarado, it sounded like a bomb. We will continue to report as more information is available.
