Pala traffic collision leaves unknown injuries

A traffic collision involving a gray pickup truck and an unknown vehicle occurred Wednesday evening on State Route 76 and Pala del Norte Road, authorities reported.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was alerted to the crash at approximately 7:44 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene shortly afterward, with both lanes of the highway blocked. The crash resulted in at least one individual lying on the ground with visible injuries, according to initial reports. CPR was administered on-site by emergency personnel.

At 7:52 p.m., the San Diego County Sheriff's Office confirmed that CPR was still in progress. A tow truck was requested for a Ford Ranger, which had rolled over, but the tow vehicle was delayed due to traffic.

CHP and emergency services continued to manage the scene, with additional units arriving around 8:50 p.m. The extent of injuries remains unclear at this time, and authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
