The North County Fire Protection District has plans to replace Station 4 in Pala Mesa, and the replacement will not need to undergo California Environmental Quality Act review.
The NCFPD board voted 5-0 Aug. 27 to find the replacement of an existing facility to be categorically exempt from CEQA. The action also approved the fire station project, although a construction contract will be approved at a future board meeting.
