A chaotic scene unfolded Saturday evening at Dominic's Deli when Kerry Flynn, 48, a resident of one of the local motels in town, was arrested after causing a major disturbance and vandalising Dominic's Deli. He was arrested and booked for a 243(C)(2), battery on a police officer without injury, 69PC -4 charges- obstruct, resist executive officer,

5 charges of 243(B)PC Peace officer emergency personnel, etc. and 6 charges of vandalism.

Around 6 p.m., the man started demanding his money back after becoming agitated over the lack of plastic bags instead of the paper bags offered for his food, and he escalated the situation by throwing his meal, contained in a paper bag, at an employee. The employee apologized that they didn't have plastic bags. He was reported to have spat on two workers, aggressively hurled the cash register from the counter at the employee, along with a rack of candy, and a jar of peppers. He then hurled a five-gallon pickle jar at staff members, while screaming obscenities.

A quick-thinking customer intervened, tackling the individual and escorting him out of the deli before anyone else was harmed.

Due to the incident, Dominic's Deli had to close early as law enforcement arrived to take the man into custody.

A social media post from Teresa Jean read, "To the man who stepped in-you were a hero today. We thank you for your bravery."

The suspect was arrested and remains in custody. The deli staff and patrons are hopeful that justice will be served to ensure the safety of their community.

When Village News talked to one of the hotel managers, he said that they also had trouble with this man, who would pay cash for his room. He was reported to have assaulted a housekeeper.
