The overturned car was blocking the southbound S. Mission lane until the tow truck was able to remove it from the scene. The driver was uninjured.
An early morning traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle blocked part of South Mission Road near Mission Oaks Road on Friday, October 5, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred just after 6 a.m., when a vehicle, reportedly swerving before the crash, hit a wall and overturned in the southbound lane of South Mission Road. Eyewitnesses said the driver, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, attempted to enlist the help of bystanders to right the vehicle in order to leave the scene.
Emergency personnel were en route by 6:15 a.m., with a tow truck from Adams Tow also dispatched. A witness, who had stopped behind the overturned truck with their work vehicle equipped with emergency lights, remained on the scene to assist until authorities arrived.
At least one person was reported trapped inside the vehicle, and it was reported to be a non injury accident. Southbound traffic on South Mission Road was impacted as the lane was blocked by the accident.
