Vallecitos school board approves winter roofing project

The Vallecitos School District board approved a winter roofing project for the district’s three permanent buildings.

A 3-0 vote Oct. 8, with Ritsa Chanthabandith absent due to a family emergency and one vacant seat, approved a contract with A. Perman Roofing, Inc., to replace the roofs on the three buildings. The San Diego company submitted a base bid of $264,500 for the work.

“I’m just excited to get the work done,” said Vallecitos School District Superintendent Meliton Sanchez, who is also the district’s Chief Business Officer.
