Sheriff's Deputies and a Good Samaritan jumped into action to save a woman from a house fire in Vista.
On Friday, November 1, just after 1:30 a.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station responded to a fire at a home in the 200 block of W. Bobier Drive. When they arrived, deputies found the home engulfed in flames. At the same time, a Good Samaritan alerted deputies that someone was still inside the burning home.
Without hesitation, Deputy Robert Oliveri made his way thorugh the front door and crawled through the smoke to find the person inside the home. Meantime, Deputy Craig Vanden Bossche and the Good Samaritan were able to communicate with a woman in the home through an open window. Deputy Vanden Bossche and the Good Samaritan then pulled the woman to safety through a window with the help of Deputy Oliveri.
The rescued woman was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Deputy Oliveri was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation. Both deputies and the Good Samaritan are expected to be okay.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Office commends these heroes for their quick thinking and selflessness during this life-saving operation.

VISTA: At around 1:42 am reports of a residential structure fire came out at 245 W Bobier Dr. On arrival deputies located a uber eats driver who reported the fire attempting to pull the residents out of a bedroom window. A deputy jumped in thru the window and with assistance from another deputy and the uber eats driver were able to get the female out of the home. Both the driver and lady in the home were transported to a burn center the female by an air ambulance. Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the flames. 1 cat was also rescued from the home. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but is under investigation. There is no additional information at this times
